I was flying cross country recently and spotted the sight photographed above while flying over Lake Erie. It was early evening and it seems like we were getting the oranges and pinks of sunset reflecting off the lake. The stratocumulus cloud deck in place only allowed the reflected light to come through a few holes, giving the impression that the entire lake was aglow!
